Large Stencil Painted Beetle on Masonite, From VFW Hall, Orrington, MA folk art seaplane commissioned and built in theI have no idea the story behind how this stencil spray painted beetle came to live in the VFW Hall in Orrington, Maine, but so it seems to have, as handwritten on the reverse, and at some point was stickered by the Orrington Historical Society. Whatever the case, a pretty great one I think, with those six stenciled legs making it look like a skeleton dancing.
