For the minority of MM patients with BRAF mutations, combined inhibition of BRAF and MEK is an attractive strategy because the combination therapy shows an impressive response rate at 76% and has a 5-year survival rate of 33% for BRAFV600E/K positive CM patients ( BRAF mutations but with NRAS , NF1 , or SPRED1 alterations, targeting the downstream protein MEK is another strategy for MM patients
