Rounded Egg Vase in Dogwood White, 5.5"h (Ben Owen III) LF BIII Stardust BlueA variation of the classic and popular shape from Ben Owen III and his family, this Rounded Egg Vase creates an elegant understatement to compliment the thick glaze application, resembling the look of icing on a cake. The scalloped design on the base is influenced by techniques seen in early Chinese glazed pottery during the Song and Tang Dynasties and early Japanese techniques. The rich color of the red clay enhances the white glaze coating.
