The reel is right hand retrieve and is in excellent+ condition with only some very slight marks on the sideplates

The cap bears the Payne trademark stamp as well as the “Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch New York” stamp dating it to pre-1963 (the first Payne Parabolic rods were made in 1936)

The owner's name and weight are inked on the rod, the latter at 2 5 8 ounces (though my scale has it closer to 3. 4). Oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. As with all of the Montana Winston rods, the varnish is fantastic, right up there with the very best of the best. The wraps are tan with cinnamon edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops.
